The QVNIIDAAY magnetic screen door is a much-improved design compared to others I've tried. My family and I genuinely enjoy it! It keeps bugs out and closes automatically when installed correctly (see the manufacturer's instructions for basics, plus my extra tips below). The mesh is durable – far better quality than the flimsy ones I've used before. Mosquitoes are terrible in our area, and with a toddler at home, this gives me real peace of mind. It's also great for pet owners.

Here's what made my installation a success – and what I learned along the way:

1. Get the right size. Obvious, I know, but I had to order different sizes because my door frames varied. Always do a dry fit before you stick anything down. And a big shout‑out to the seller – they happily exchanged mine when the fit wasn't right. 😊

2. Lay the screen door flat on the floor or a large table. I left mine out for about a day to let the wrinkles naturally fall out – it made installation much easier.

3. Wipe the door frame with a dry cloth to remove pollen and dust so the adhesive sticks properly. If you use a damp cloth, let the surface dry completely; otherwise, the tape won't hold. Also, pick a dry day to install – rainy or humid weather will cause problems.

4. While the screen is still flat on the floor, attach the Velcro strips to it – one across the top and one on each side. Press them down firmly. Important: Do not peel off the backing paper until you're actually ready to stick the screen onto the door frame.

5. Here's the key trick for self‑closing: install the top center of the screen slightly higher than the outer corners. Raise the center about ¼ inch (6 mm) above the top of the door opening, then angle the rest of the top edge gently downward toward each corner. This creates the slope that makes it swing shut. Check the hang and evenness – if it looks right, press the center Velcro down firmly, then peel the rest of the backing paper from the top edge and secure it.

6. Now – I know I'm repeating myself – re‑check the fit. Does the screen fully cover the opening? Does it close by itself without gaps or wrinkles? If yes, proceed. If not, adjust until it's right before moving on.

7. For the sides, work slowly: peel the backing paper as you go down one edge, and lightly press the Velcro to the door frame – don't press hard yet. Repeat on the opposite side, again just lightly.

8. Check the fit one more time. Still covering everything? Still closing neatly with no gaps? Great – now go back and press all Velcro edges firmly. Enjoy your bug‑free home!
